Roland DG has a reputation for exceptional build quality, thanks to a unique practice known as
Digital Yatai. A fantastic USP, but a challenge to demonstrate without seeing for yourself at the the factory in Japan. Following consultation with external agencies, the marketing team decided upon a VR video, to be filmed in Japan and showcased at trade fares and company showrooms.

Heading up a small team, I was granted access to bring 360
° camera rigs into the factory along with drones for external shots. Filmed over two days with the support of a videographer, the footage edits and scripts were completed on the return flight, by the time we had touched down in the UK we had our first draft ready for approval.
Primarily intended for Oculus, affordable cardboard headsets were also produced as giveaways, allowing for viewing through a mobile device. This was another example where the adoption of new technologies set Roland DG brand apart from any competitors while delivering a coherent sales message.
